School Holiday Program for 11 – 17 year olds

Looking for something different and fun that you and your friends can do this summer?

Come and experience the ancient Chinese sport of Dragon Boat racing.

It is the ultimate team sport with 22 people paddling the boat in time to the beat of the drum.

Races are short, fast, and fun! Anyone can do it.

All you need is a positive spirit and be willing to try something new.

Join our 2 day summer program and find out what it’s all about. We will guide you through the basics of technique and prepare you for some fun challenges as a crew.

Our summer program is open to anyone aged 11 – 17 years. If you have done Dragon Boating before our coaches will help take you to the next level in understanding how to develop your technique, get fitter and stronger on the water.

The team at Leaps and Bounds Ahead introduces Dragon Boat teams to the exciting and ancient sport of dragon boat racing. While characteristically a social sport, dragon boat racing has the added benefits of working a whole range of muscles developing both strength and endurance.
